Jessica M. Arnold was born in Asheville, North Carolina and attended college at North Carolina State University, where she graduated cum laude with double majors in Spanish and Political Science. She subsequently attended Campbell University School of Law to pursue her law degree. While in law school, Jessica served as an Articles Editor for the Campbell Law Review, traveled around the country competing in a National Moot Court Competition, and completed several internships around Wake County, including an internship with the Wake County District Attorney’s Office, the North Carolina business court, the North Carolina court of appeals, the NC Office of the State Auditor, Shanahan Law Group, and she served as a law clerk for fellow Wake County criminal defense attorney Brad Polk.
Upon graduating from law school at the top of her class, Jessica went into private practice in Fuquay-Varina. While in Fuquay, Jessica represented clients in civil litigation, personal injury, contract disputes, family law, traffic matters, estate planning and estate administration. After a year in a general practice firm, Jessica decided to focus her areas of practice to criminal and domestic law. In 2015, Jessica joined the firm of DeMent Askew and currently represents clients on a number of cases, ranging from traffic violations to serious felonies.
